Hat Holster a Beaded Hat Hanger - Crochet Pattern US Terms

$5.00
Hello and welcome to my Hat Holster pattern.
I’ve designed it with a timber bead feature to add that touch of earthy nature to the finish. You could of course use glass beads to jazz up your design. It is really dependent on your décor and what suits.
This is such a delightful way to store your hats without them losing shape and by getting them off the table or bench which creates more space. Not to mention, once they are hung up they look like a piece of art featured on the wall of your entry, laundry area or where ever you would like to store your hats. Make a different colour for each family member to personalise and then they know is for their hat only.
You can make this pattern as an individual Hat Holster or just follow on in the pattern to create a double Hat Holster or as many as you like. This makes it very versatile to fit any wall space you have to work with.
They also make unique gifts for family and friends who are usually difficult to buy for. I hope you enjoy making this pattern and I hope to see your finished makes shared on social media.

Skill Level: Beginner

Finished Size:
Approximately 47cm long (without tassels) x 10cm wide (without a hat in it) unblocked made up in the 10ply.

Tools Required:
4mm Crochet Hook for 8ply or 4.5mm hook for 10ply, Scissors, Yarn Needle, ST Markers
Wooden Cabone Ring approx. 50mm wide (outer edges measured).
14 to 20 Timber Beads or Glass if you prefer, with a centre hole approx. 2—4mm wide. This will depend on how many repeats you need to get the length you want. More if you are making it a double hanger.

Yarn Requirements:
Anything from a 5ply to a 10ply is good. For this pattern I used Fiddlestick Finch 10ply cotton 71gm/109m. I find it gives a more natural look with the beads due to it’s unmercerised finish. I have also used Fiddlesticks Wren 8ply with glass beads. (you will need a smaller hook size for anything smaller than an 8ply and just do more repeats)
s / 375m
White—150gms / 250m
